About the Event

Nestled within the breathtaking beauty of The Bahamas, the Run for Pompey offers runners an unforgettable blend of history, culture, and athleticism. This annual charity race not only celebrates the rich heritage of the island but also supports education by raising funds to award a deserving Bahamian high school graduate with a $5,000 scholarship towards their university studies.
Participants can choose from several distances: the half marathon for serious runners looking for a challenge; the 10K and 5K races that cater to those seeking shorter but equally rewarding experiences; or the family-friendly 2K event. Each race winds through picturesque landscapes, past historic landmarks, and vibrant communities, providing runners with an immersive experience of Bahamian life.
The Run for Pompey is more than just a run—it’s a celebration of community spirit and educational opportunity set against one of Earth's most stunning backdrops. Whether you're racing to achieve personal bests or simply enjoying the scenery, this event promises memorable moments for all who participate.
Join us in supporting future Bahamian leaders while immersing yourself in the island's unique charm.
