About the Event

Run for the Dogs 5K offers runners an engaging and heartwarming experience that combines fitness with charity. Set to take place on October 7, 2026, this race is designed not only as a challenge but also as a way to support local animal shelters.
The event kicks off at 10:00 AM sharp after registration opens at 9:00 AM, giving participants ample time to warm up and prepare for the run. The first 50 registrants will receive commemorative t-shirts by October 5th if they sign up before this date; however, no additional shirts will be available afterward.
Runners can expect a scenic course that showcases the beauty of the surrounding area while raising awareness and funds to help dogs in need find their forever homes. The race is not just about crossing the finish line but also contributing positively to the community by supporting local animal welfare organizations.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as no refunds will be issued if the event needs to be canceled due to extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Race photos captured by Liz Keenum Photography will document this memorable day and can be viewed online after the race.
