Run For The Revolution 5K, 10K & 15K

About the Event

Run For The Revolution is set to take place on Sunday, October 18th, 2026, at Pittsfield State Forest in Cascade Street, Pittsfield MA. This annual race offers runners and walkers the opportunity to choose from three distances: a scenic 5K loop, a challenging 10K course, or an exhilarating 15K route through the beautiful foliage-laden trails of the state forest.
The event begins at 9:00 AM sharp with staggered start times for each distance. The first 100 registered participants will receive commemorative shirts while supplies last; sizes are not guaranteed due to limited availability.
Participants can expect a picturesque out-and-back course that winds through the lush greenery and vibrant colors of Pittsfield State Forest, making it an ideal setting for runners who appreciate natural beauty as much as they do physical challenge. The 5K loop is designed for those seeking a shorter but still rewarding experience, while the 10K and 15K distances cater to more seasoned athletes looking to push their limits.
Post-race festivities include awards ceremonies at designated times: 9:45 AM for the 5K winners, 10:15 AM for the 10K victors, and 11:00 AM for the top finishers in the 15K race. Refreshments will be provided to help runners rehydrate and refuel after their efforts.
The event is sponsored by the Berkshire County Historical Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of western Massachusetts since its founding in 1962. The society operates Herman Melville’s Arrowhead, a National Historic Landmark that showcases the life and works of renowned author Herman Melville. Located at 780 Holmes Road in Pittsfield MA, visitors can explore this historic site year-round.
For more information or to register for Run For The Revolution, visit berkshirehistory.org or contact them directly by phone: (413) 442-1793.
The race is a unique blend of physical challenge and cultural appreciation, offering runners not only an opportunity to test their endurance but also to connect with the rich heritage of Berkshire County.
