About the Event

This is a 5K run or walk. It is an evening glow run and participants have the option of running or walking virtually. The purpose is to raise money and awareness for nursing students at the Wesleyan University of Haiti School of Nursing. All proceeds will go to the Wesleyan University of Haiti School of Nursing. Global Partners, which is the mission arm of the Wesleyan Church, manages this fund. The School of Nursing fund supports student tuition, staff and instructor salaries, and a student lunch program.

Central is a town in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,159. Contrary to its name, it is not near South Carolina's center. It received its name from being halfway or the central point between Atlanta and Charlotte along the former Atlanta and Richmond Air-Line Railway line. Southern Wesleyan University's main campus is east of downtown Central.
