Runners Festival Klouster - Hausberg Trophy Kohlau
About the Event
The Runner’s Festival Klouster, organized by FC Rinchnach's Ski section since its inception in 2022, returns to the Langlaufzentrum Kohlau this year. Participants will explore scenic forest and woodland trails that wind around the picturesque center, offering a blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain. Highlights along the route include breathtaking views from the Frauenbrünnl pilgrimage church lookout point and panoramic vistas atop both Wagensonnriegel (959m) and Gsengetstein (951m). These elevated spots provide runners with stunning panoramas that are sure to inspire awe and appreciation for nature's grandeur. The festival features three distinct race options tailored to various skill levels: - Kindertrail: A 3.9km course with a modest elevation gain of 90 meters, perfect for young participants. - Hauptlauf: An intermediate option covering 12 kilometers with an ascent of 340 meters. - Skihüttentrail: The most challenging route at 17.5 kilometers and over 470 meters in elevation gain. All races start and finish at the club-owned Skihütte Kohlau, which remains open on event days for participants to enjoy refreshments or gear up before their run. Detailed GPX tracks are available for download from the festival's website (www.runners-festival.de) so runners can familiarize themselves with the course ahead of time. Participants automatically enter a raffle upon completion and will be notified via email if they win one of several high-quality prizes. While there is no formal timing system, results must be submitted through Strava or by emailing sparteski@fc-rinchnach.de for inclusion in official rankings. Daily updates are posted on the website’s result list. Team competition adds an exciting dimension to this event, with special awards given to the three strongest teams comprising at least 8-10 runners each. Maintaining consistency and accuracy in team names during registration is crucial.
