About the Event
Devon's Running Events is excited to present the Bumble Bee Challenge Day 1, scheduled for September 26, 2026. This unique running and walking experience invites participants of all abilities to join us on an old disused train line that winds through scenic Devon countryside. The event operates under a flexible 'TUGG' system—Turn Up Get Going—which means you can start any time between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM, but must complete your final lap by 3:30 PM. Each lap of the course is precisely measured at 5.3 kilometers out and back on a tarmac path that offers stunning views and an enjoyable running environment. Aid stations are strategically placed at the end of each lap to provide refreshments such as drinks and snacks, ensuring you stay fueled throughout your journey. Whether you're planning to walk or run, this event caters to everyone's pace and endurance level. Participants can aim for a single lap, four laps (the half marathon distance), eight laps (a full marathon equivalent), or even the impressive feat of completing 14 laps—setting a new record so far with us. Regardless of how many laps you complete within the time limit, every finisher will be awarded a medal and a goody bag to commemorate their achievement. With places limited for this popular event, it's advisable not to wait too long before securing your spot.
