Rye Summer 5k Series: Race Five

Set against the backdrop of one of Britain's most cherished conservation sites, this event offers a rare opportunity to explore diverse landscapes including interlocking shingle ridges, saltmarshes, tidal grazing lands, reed beds, and saline lagoons.
The final race in the series takes place on Friday, September 4th at 18:30. This particular edition features only a 5k run alongside a specially designed junior event for young runners eager to experience competitive racing. The terrain is predominantly flat and fast, making it an ideal destination for both newcomers and seasoned athletes looking to achieve quick times if weather conditions are favorable.
Runners will enjoy the meticulously measured course that winds through diverse ecosystems within Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Each race in the series is celebrated with a vibrant atmosphere characterized by friendly competitors and enthusiastic supporters. Participants can look forward to receiving bespoke medals upon completion of their 5k journey, while junior runners will earn finisher medals for completing their chip-timed 1k run.

The full series can be booked before the first race takes place in May; however, individual races are available throughout the summer months leading up to September’s finale.
Registration fees for this final edition stand at £20 for adults participating in the 5k and just £7 for children taking part in the junior run. Detailed route maps and GPX files will be made available ahead of race day so runners can familiarize themselves with the course layout. As always, event information will be communicated to all registered participants prior to their arrival at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
