Known for its affordable entry fees, this race offers a unique cycling experience that is both exhilarating and rewarding. Pre-registration online ensures you secure your spot early, while on-site parking and registration are conveniently located right next to the church. The course spans 13 miles, featuring rolling hills that test your endurance and five sharp turns requiring precise handling skills. As you approach the finish line, prepare for a steep uphill challenge just west of Vandalia and 32nd Ave. Designated feed zones will be strategically placed along the route to keep you fueled throughout the race. The course is open to traffic, so cyclists must adhere strictly to centerline rules both during the ride and at the finish line. All USAC road racing regulations apply, ensuring a fair competition environment for everyone involved. This event also doubles as the Iowa State Road Race Championships, making it an exciting opportunity for all riders regardless of your home state. While only Iowa residents with annual USAC licenses can compete for the state championship title, top-three finishers in each field will still be eligible for Sakari Road Race awards.
