Starting 7:00 AM on November 8 at Jinsha Visitor Plaza, Sanqing Mountain, Yushan County, Shangrao, Jiangxi, this race offers "Seeking the Immortals" 40KM and "Python's Ascent" 20KM categories. Registration opens June 18 at 10:00, with early-bird pricing through June 30.
The 40KM (1,200 runners, 1,864m gain) starts 7:00 with a 10-hour cutoff; the 20KM (800 runners, 830m gain) starts 7:00 with a 7-hour cutoff.
A national 5A scenic area and UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, Sanqing Mountain's course crosses the cliffside boardwalk beneath the famous "Python Emerging" rock formation, beneath the gaze of the millennia-old "Eastern Goddess" peak, climbing ancient stone steps carved into the cliff face.
