SATURN - Great British Bake Run 2026

Indulge in the sweet pleasure of our Great British Bake Run, returning for another delightful year! This unique race offers more than just miles; it’s an experience that combines fitness with fun. The highlight? A charming cupcake medal that doubles as a fridge magnet to commemorate your achievement.
The event unfolds along the picturesque River Thames, where runners can enjoy breathtaking views and serene surroundings while challenging themselves against their own pace. As a time challenge race, you have 7 hours at your disposal, allowing flexibility in distance from just 3 kilometers up to an ultra marathon of over 21 miles (approximately 34 kilometers). The course is well-marked with clear signs for easy navigation and features mostly paved paths with a brief stretch of grass that’s suitable year-round.
For those participating in half-marathon distances or beyond, the event offers special distance pins to celebrate your efforts. These pins are available at registration for achievements such as the Half-Marathon, Mega-Half (10 miles), Marathon, 50km, and Ultra runs.
Fuel up with a variety of treats from our aid tables located conveniently near the start/finish line. Enjoy an array of snacks like crisps, cheese, fruit, cookies, and vegan options to keep you energized throughout your run. The event also hosts a baking competition where runners can showcase their culinary skills in categories such as best tasting cake, best looking cake, and best effort cake.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive goody bags filled with assorted goodies, including special vegan selections for those following plant-based diets. If this milestone marks a significant achievement or personal record for you, be sure to inform us ahead of time—special running numbers emblazoned with your name and event date await.
Facilities at the venue include toilets and changing areas accessible from 8am onwards throughout the day. Secure bag storage is available at designated spots near the start/finish area, though it’s recommended not to leave valuables unattended due to limited supervision.
Parking can be found in Bridge Street Car Park (TW18 4TP), providing convenient access for participants and spectators alike.
