SATURN - Remembrance Run 2026 - South

On Remembrance Day, the Remembrance Run offers participants an opportunity to honor those who made ultimate sacrifices during conflicts throughout history. The event commemorates fallen heroes by observing two minutes of silence at 11:00am, which will be deducted from each runner's official time.
This unique Time Challenge event spans up to seven hours and allows runners the flexibility to choose their own distance within a range starting from a minimum of 3 kilometers. A full lap measures either 4.37 miles or 7 kilometers (subject to change based on course conditions), making it possible for participants to complete half marathons, marathons, ultra distances, and even cover the challenging 50km mark.
The scenic route follows a picturesque stretch of the River Thames, featuring well-maintained paths, grass sections, and some trail paths. The terrain can become muddy in wet conditions but is marked with clear signage to guide runners without requiring navigational skills.
Every finisher who completes at least 3 kilometers will receive an impressive medal that honors those who gave their lives for our future. Additionally, a variety of goody bags are available upon completion, catering to both standard and vegan dietary preferences.
Distance pins celebrate achievements such as half-marathons or longer distances with options like Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km, and Ultra pins. These pins will be attached directly onto the medal ribbon to highlight personal milestones.
A well-stocked aid table at the start/finish area offers a wide selection of drinks and snacks including vegan choices for all runners throughout their journey.
For those celebrating special occasions like reaching significant running milestones or participating in honor of Remembrance Day, personalized race numbers can be requested. These numbers will feature your name alongside the date of the event to commemorate this meaningful day.
Toilets and changing facilities are provided at Race HQ near the start/finish area for convenience during the run. Participants should note that while a bag storage option is available in this zone, it is unattended; therefore, valuables should not be left behind.
Final race instructions will reach participants via email prior to the event date. Number pick-up occurs on-site at registration before the start of the day's activities.
Parking options include Runnymede Pleasure Grounds or Egham town center with a 15-minute walk from the starting line, ensuring flexibility for runners regardless of their chosen parking location. Headphones are permitted during the run but participants are encouraged to be mindful of other path users while enjoying this reflective and rewarding experience.
