Scafell Sky Race 2027

Scafell Sky Race, an exhilarating mountain adventure through some of England's most breathtaking terrain, invites runners seeking both challenge and beauty. Spanning 38 kilometers with over 2,800 meters of ascent, the race is a true test for experienced and aspiring mountain runners alike.
The route begins its journey across technical single-track trails that wind their way around iconic Lakeland Fells, including Scafell Pike, England's highest peak. Runners will encounter thrilling descents like the Great Slab off Bowfell, offering an adrenaline rush through rocky terrain and scree fields. The circular course takes runners on a looped journey from Lanty Slees Sticklebarn to some of the most celebrated peaks in the Lake District.
The event is renowned for its well-organized logistics and supportive atmosphere. Over the years, it has become a favorite among skyrunning enthusiasts due to its challenging yet rewarding nature. The race was instrumental as part of the UK National Team qualifying series for both the Skyrunning World Championships 2018 and the middle distance WMRT Champs in 2025.
