Schuetzen NEIN! Hour Endurance Run

Welcome to Schuetzen. The safe word is "keep going." The Schuetzen NEIN! Hour Endurance Run returns to Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday, June 20, 2026. 9 hours. Solo or relay (Mannschaft/Team Division — up to 3 runners). 0.85‑mile loop of dirt, chipped rock, stairs, grass, and 125‑150 ft of elevation gain per lap. "Schuetzen will bring you to your knees." Low registration fee covers aid (hot real food, cold beverages), a chance to earn the coveted Schuetzen Spanker (50k+ solo, 50mi+ relay), a custom race shirt, and a guaranteed donation to Schuetzen Park (nearly $10,000 donated to date). No refunds, no bib transfers. Deferral available until May 31 (100% credit to next year).

Course Description — 0.85 Mile Loop:

• Beautiful and challenging loop showcasing the German historic site's natural beauty
• 125‑150 ft elevation gain per loop — stair sections, short grass sections, mostly dirt and chipped rock single track
• No two laps feel the same — constant climbs, descents, and turns
• The loop changes direction twice during the event (presumably to balance wear and keep it interesting)

• Custom race shirt
• Schuetzen Spanker award for solo runners who hit 50k+ and relay teams who hit 50mi+

Logistics & Schedule:

• No Friday packet pickup
• Saturday check‑in: 7:00 AM
• Race starts promptly at 8:00 AM (be late = less than 9 hours to run)
• Start/Finish: Jens Lorenzen Pavilion — off Schuetzen Lane at SW corner of Good Samaritan Society property on Waverly Rd
• Ample parking and bathroom facilities right next to the pavilion
• Weather could be anything — race goes on rain, shine, or otherwise

Registration & Policies (NO REFUNDS, NO BIB TRANSFERS):

• Online registration only — no paper form, no race morning registration
• Registration closes Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT
• If capacity is reached, waitlist opens — runners added in order as spots become available
• Waitlisters receive email notification and have 3 days to accept (24 hours within three weeks of race day)
• You are charged ONLY if you accept the waitlist invitation
• Deferral option: 100% rollover credit to next year's race. Notify by email or Facebook by May 31. Deferral good for ONE year only. Deferrals get early registration access (late Jan/early Feb). Credit expires when general registration opens.

No Coast Trail Series:

• Free to sign up — check other member races and help grow trail/ultra running in the "No Coast" region
