Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra 2027

Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra 2027 takes place at Hollinwood Scout Camp, nestled within Worsley's scenic landscape near Manchester. This unique trail race challenges runners to complete two off-road loops through fields and woodland every hour on the hour, with a new loop starting each time the clock strikes.
The course is designed for endurance enthusiasts who aim to push their limits in a supportive yet competitive environment. Runners have the opportunity to set personal bests or simply enjoy completing one lap under the stars. The field is capped at 120 athletes, ensuring an intimate and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
Participants can earn prize money as well as exclusive memorabilia for reaching milestones: a special t-shirt awaits those who surpass the 100-mile mark, while the overall winner receives a trophy and commemorative mug along with their cash reward. Each runner also gets to set up a rest area on-site and enjoy amenities such as hot and cold water, drinks, snacks, and a bespoke DNF metal mug.
The course itself offers flat terrain that transitions smoothly from open fields into shaded woodland trails, providing fast and runnable conditions throughout the night. However, parking at Hollinwood Scout Camp is limited; organizers are working on additional arrangements for 2027 but cannot guarantee spots as part of your race entry yet. Dogs are not permitted within the campsite itself to ensure a safe environment for all participants and staff members alike.
