Sedin vs. Sedin 2026

About the Event

On Sunday, September 27th, join us for an unforgettable experience as hockey legends Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin face off against each other on the challenging Grouse Grind trail. This epic showdown will set the stage for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and community spirit.
Before the main event kicks off, participants are assigned to either Team Daniel or Team Henrik. Your climb time and fundraising efforts contribute directly to your team's total score, making every step count in this exhilarating race up Vancouver’s most iconic trail. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply looking to push yourself out of your comfort zone, the Grouse Grind offers an unparalleled challenge.
At the summit, the celebration continues with live music from a DJ and delicious BBQ. The day culminates in an awards ceremony where the victorious team is crowned. This event isn’t just about reaching the top; it’s about coming together to support a great cause through your efforts on the trail.
The Sedin Family Foundation was established to celebrate achievements, recognize people's contributions, and address the needs of families and children across British Columbia. By participating in this race, you’re not only challenging yourself but also contributing to meaningful causes that benefit communities throughout the province.
Please note: Registration fees, donations, and all other purchases from the Sedin vs. Sedin store are non-refundable. Grouse Mountain reserves the right to reschedule or postpone any activities if necessary. For added peace of mind, Race Roster offers an enhanced refund protection program available during registration. This ensures that your purchase will be refunded should you be unable to attend due to reasons listed under their policy.
This is more than just a hike; it’s a team-powered adventure with incredible views and a feel-good vibe from start to finish. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to support an amazing cause while enjoying one of Vancouver's most iconic trails.

About North Vancouver

Learn more about the host city, North Vancouver.

Scenic view of

North Vancouver is a mostly suburban area across the Burrard Inlet from downtown Vancouver. Surrounded by mountains and water on three sides, it's the ideal playground for the outdoor-minded. You can wander on miles of hiking trails, take in steep descents on a mountain bike or skis, kayak a fjord and cross canyons on a suspension bridge. If you're not looking for something that gets the heart going, there are always the stellar views the city affords. Ride the gondola to the top of Grouse Mountain for a view of Vancouver and beyond, stroll along the waterfront by Lonsdale Quay or relax in one of the many coffee shops. And that's one of the great things about North Vancouver — it's close to the sophistication offered by Vancouver but in 30 minutes you can be in the wilderness or a beautiful spot like Deep Cove and forget you're in a metropolitan area of over two million people.
