Selkirk Aqua Bike and Run

Welcome to the Live Borders Triathlon Series 2026, featuring an Aqua Bike & Run event set for August 15th at Selkirk Swimming Pool. This dynamic race offers athletes both individual and relay options within a picturesque Scottish setting.
The swim portion begins in the inviting waters of the Selkirk Leisure Centre’s pool with participants completing 750 meters (30 lengths) divided into waves based on estimated swim times to ensure smooth transitions. The transition area is conveniently located right next to the pool, making it easy for athletes to move swiftly between disciplines.
Once out of the water, racers will jump onto their bikes and embark on a challenging undulating 20-kilometer ride that follows alongside the River Tweed. Starting from the swimming pool, riders head north along the A7 towards Lindean before crossing over Yair Bridge and heading back into Selkirk via the main road.
The final leg of this exhilarating event is a scenic 5-kilometer run along the riverside path in an anti-clockwise direction, offering two laps around the picturesque course. Participants will enjoy views of the River Tweed as they make their way to the finish line back at Selkirk Swimming Pool.
