Selkirk Sprint Triathlon

Embark on an exhilarating journey through the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes of Selkirk, Scotland for the Live Borders Triathlon Series 2026. Scheduled to take place at the Selkirk Leisure Centre on August 15th, this sprint triathlon offers a unique blend of challenging terrain and stunning scenery.
The event begins with a refreshing pool swim in the heart of Selkirk Leisure Centre. Swimmers will complete 30 lengths covering a total distance of 750 meters. The order for each wave is determined by estimated swim times provided during registration, ensuring a smooth transition from water to land.
After exiting the pool and transitioning at an adjacent car park, athletes take on a 20-kilometer bike ride that winds along undulating roads beside the River Tweed. This scenic route leads through charming villages like Lindean before crossing Yair Bridge and returning via main road back into Selkirk.
The run follows with two laps around a beautiful riverside path in a clockwise direction, totaling 5 kilometers. Participants will enjoy views of the tranquil river as they complete their final leg, culminating at the finish line near where it all began – right by the pool area.
