Selsey Triathlon at Seal Bay Resort offers an ideal conclusion to the triathlon season, inviting athletes of all ages and skill levels to enjoy its scenic setting along Windmill Beach. The resort's private beach provides the perfect backdrop for both novice participants aiming to complete their first event and seasoned competitors seeking a fast time.
The bike route is nearly pancake flat, ensuring minimal wind resistance and smooth cycling conditions around Seal Bay Resort’s perimeter roads. Runners can look forward to a closed road course that winds through the resort grounds, allowing them to focus on their pace without traffic concerns.
Adding an extra layer of excitement, athletes will experience an Australian exit after completing loop one of the swim segment, giving supporters ample opportunity to cheer from the sidelines and boost morale as you transition into your bike leg.
For those looking to make a weekend out of it, Seal Bay Resort offers exclusive accommodation packages for race entrants. Kick off the festivities on Saturday with Junior Events designed specifically for young athletes, providing an engaging prelude to the main event.
The Selsey Triathlon features two distance options:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim | 10km bike | 2.5km run
- Sprint: 750m swim | 25km bike | 5km run
With wetsuits mandatory for the open water swims, participants will have access to a shortie or full-body suit to ensure optimal performance in cooler waters.
