Experience the scenic beauty of Berks County at the Shoo-Fly Classic, offering both road and gravel options for 2026. For those preferring paved roads, choose from three traditional mileage choices: 20 miles, 40 miles, or a challenging 62-mile route. The gravel cyclists will enjoy an approachable yet demanding 26-mile loop with just under 1,900 feet of climbing. The ride weaves through the gentle farmlands of the Oley Valley, presenting a mix of scenic views and some punchy climbs for those who love the challenge. Highlights include a charming covered bridge and multiple historic landmarks that dot the landscape. Enjoy local cuisine and refreshments from Berks County businesses along your journey. This year's event boasts support from notable sponsors including Good's Potato Chips, Unique Snacks, Nature's Garden, Kutztown Soda Works, Redner’s Markets, and Weis Markets. Participants can expect stocked rest stops, SAG support, cue sheets, and Ride with GPS routes for the road sections. The 26-mile gravel route will be unmarked. The ride commences at the Oley Fairgrounds located at 26 Jefferson St, Oley, PA, just two blocks from the intersection of Route 662 and Route 73. Registration fees are $45 by August 1st, $50 by September 1st, $55 after September 1st with no commemorative shirt, or $60 on-site on race day. Commemorative shirts will be provided to those who register before the deadline of September 1st. Helmets are mandatory for all participants, and headphones are not allowed. Ebike riders must complete a separate waiver upon registration/check-in if they opt for Class II ebikes. Ride start times range from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM with no mass start; cyclists can begin their journey anytime within this window after check-in and waiver signing (if required). For those aiming to finish the metric century ride, it is recommended to start by 8:30 AM. SAG support will be available via phone on cue sheets. Remember that event day registration payments must be made in cash or checks only; no credit cards are accepted. Check-in and ride starts open from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with the start/finish area closing at a later time—please plan your route accordingly. The Shoo-Fly Classic offers four routes for you to choose from, each providing unique experiences. The final routes for all options will be updated in September based on this year's successful runs.
