About the Event

Immerse yourself in a weekend of trail running and camaraderie along the picturesque Shotley peninsula on Suffolk's coast. The 4.3-mile coastal loop offers runners a diverse terrain, featuring farm tracks, forest paths, country lanes, riverbanks, and tarmac footpaths that wind through stunning natural scenery.
The event provides camping facilities right at Race HQ as part of your entry fee, allowing you to enjoy the camaraderie with fellow runners or running clubs over the weekend. Whether it's sharing stories around a campfire or engaging in post-run conversations, there are plenty of opportunities for socializing and bonding.
While friends and family are welcome to support participants during daylight hours, camping is exclusively reserved for runners to ensure they have a comfortable rest area between laps.
In addition to the core event package, optional extras such as access to a sauna and plunge pool can be purchased at an additional cost. For those looking to refuel after their efforts on Sunday morning, bacon rolls and coffee are available for just £5. Massages will also be offered throughout the weekend; pricing details will be provided closer to race day.
This event is licensed by Trail Running Association (TRA) and held under UK Athletics rules, ensuring a well-organized and safe experience for all participants. For added peace of mind, runners have the option to purchase XCover insurance, which can provide a refund if unforeseen circumstances prevent them from attending.
