Silver State 50/50

The Silver State Endurance Runs is one of the most storied trail events on the West Coast, held at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, Nevada. Scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, this marks the 41st running of the ultra-distances and the 18th for the trail half-marathon. The race is a staple of the PAUSATF MUT Grand Prix Schedule and is widely regarded as a premier training ground for iconic races like the Western States 100.

The event features three challenging distances with staggered start times. All races start and finish at the Great Basin Adventure area within the park.

The Silver State course is 100% dirt, consisting of technical single-track trails and dirt roads that traverse the high-desert and mountain terrain of the Sierra Nevada foothills.

• - Altitude: Runners reach a peak elevation of 8,266 feet, starting from a low of 4,700 feet. The thin air adds a significant layer of difficulty to the heavy climbing.
• - Surface: The tread includes a variety of dirt, rock, and pine-needle-covered paths, offering expansive views of the Truckee Meadows.
• - Half Marathon: Unlike many "road-to-trail" halfs, this course provides 13.1 miles of pure single track with constant climbing and descending.

With a history spanning four decades, the Silver State top performance list includes legendary names in ultrarunning. David Sinclair holds the modern benchmark with a 6:33:22 finish in 2021.
