Skate of the Union

Skate of the Union® Festival returns to Waldorf, Maryland on June 21st for its annual celebration. This event is part of the larger Skate of the Union® Festival weekend that celebrates Olympic Day with skating activities suitable for all skill levels—from beginner clinics and demonstrations to competitive races.
Race morning finds participants gathering at the historic Skateway Park in Waldorf. The park offers a serene setting, complete with trees lining the route and open fields where skaters can warm up before the race starts. On June 21st, expect temperatures around 23.7°C which feel similar to the actual temperature due to low humidity levels at just 68.8%.
Skate of the Union® Festival has been a staple in Waldorf since its inception and continues to grow every year, supporting local charities through participant fees. This event not only brings together skaters from diverse skill sets but also fosters a sense of community among participants.

Bibs will be available for pickup at Skateway Park on June 20th, between the hours of 9 AM and 7 PM. Participants must bring their ID and any required discounts or coupons to ensure smooth registration.
The start line is located in front of the park's main entrance on Main Street Waldorf, where participants will gather early morning for an exciting race. The age requirement varies by event but all first-timers are encouraged to arrive prepared with proper gear and enthusiasm.
