SOBVL 07-2026 - 6. Wuhletalmarathon

Runners of all stripes are invited to join the Südost Berliner Vielläufer group for an intimate running meet-up in Wuhletal. Scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2024, this non-competitive event offers a relaxed atmosphere where participants can enjoy running alongside fellow enthusiasts.
The race options include marathon (42.2 km), three-quarter marathon (31.65 km), half-marathon (21.1 km), and third-marathon distances (14.1 km). The start time is set for 9:00 AM, with the event concluding at noon.
The course begins and ends near the drinking fountain in Wuhlgarten Park, easily accessible via public transport or by car to a nearby park-and-ride facility. Participants will run on an asphalt path that loops around scenic areas of Wuhletal, offering runners plenty of opportunities for sightseeing while they train.
To accommodate different fitness levels, each runner can complete the 7-kilometer loop three times (for half-marathon) or six times (full marathon), with a brief warm-up lap before starting. The course will be clearly marked to help guide participants along their route, though it is recommended that runners bring GPS devices for tracking purposes.
Refreshments and a secure area for storing extra clothing are provided at the start/finish line near S/U Wuhletal station. Participants must record their own gross time using either a GPS watch or smartphone upon finishing; this ensures accurate timing without relying solely on manual stopwatches.
After completing your run, you will report your final time to Race Result where results and certificates can be found online. Additionally, participants are welcome to collect a finisher's medal at the event site as a token of their achievement.
