About the Event

The Soggies Winter XC Series returns on April 18, 2027, offering runners the chance to experience some of the finest cross-country trails in the south west. Nestled around Grammarcombe's meticulously crafted singletrack network, this race promises a thrilling challenge through stunning terrain.
With categories ranging from under-8s all the way up to masters over 60+, there’s something for every level and age group. Beginners can try their hand at the "fun" category designed specifically for newcomers. Race times vary by age group, with younger competitors starting early in the morning and older racers taking off at noon.
Race day begins with a practice session for children from 9:00 am to warm up on the shorter course before the main event briefings start at 11:45 am for all participants. The actual races kick off promptly, ensuring that everyone has ample time to prepare and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this beloved local tradition.
Don't miss out on what many consider one of the best winter cross-country racing experiences in the region. Join us at Grammarcombe for a day filled with excitement and camaraderie among fellow runners.
