About the Event

Solar Power NZ Skedaddle is a beloved trail running event that takes place at Island Hills Station, offering runners an unforgettable journey through pristine nature. On April 24, 2027, participants can choose from five distances: the challenging 42km and 30km routes, the scenic 15km course, the family-friendly 10km option, or a fun 4km race for kids. The courses wind through stunning singletrack trails that traverse private land within Island Hills Station, culminating at Mt Skedaddle, the highest point in the area standing tall at 1704 meters above sea level. All proceeds from this event support conservation efforts of the Mandamus Reserve Charitable Trust and their largest QEII Open Space Covenant in Canterbury.
This race is not just a run; it's an adventure through breathtaking landscapes where every step supports vital environmental preservation initiatives.
