About the Event

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the South Downs National Park with the South Downs Trail Run and Hike. This trail running event begins at the historic Goodwood Estate and winds its way through some of England's most picturesque landscapes. As you traverse the park, enjoy panoramic views that stretch from the rolling hills of the North Downs to the serene waters of Chichester Harbour, and on a clear day, even catch sight of the distant Isle of Wight.
The course is meticulously designed to offer both challenge and scenic beauty, guiding participants through forest tracks that wind around Levin Down’s edge. The route features an exhilarating downhill section into East Dean village, followed by a final climb back up to Goodwood for your triumphant finish. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of terrain including bridleways, single-track trails, and lush forest paths.
The South Downs Trail Run and Hike caters to runners and hikers at all levels with three different distance options available. Whether you're aiming to set a new personal best or simply savoring the stunning surroundings, there’s an experience here for everyone. Upon crossing the finish line back at Goodwood Estate, participants will be rewarded not only with a medal but also with refreshments and exclusive finisher's goodies.
