The 100-mile course is meticulously divided into 16 legs, each ranging between 5km to just under 16km. This design ensures accessibility for teams with varying abilities while maintaining a level of challenge that keeps the race engaging and exciting. Participants can anticipate traversing scenic countryside, enjoying coastal vistas, navigating rolling roads, and experiencing the full spectrum of South Hams' natural beauty.
Ideal for running clubs and groups ranging from 10 to 16 runners, this event features staggered start times to accommodate different team paces. Every participant receives a goody bag filled with surprises, adding an extra layer of appreciation for their efforts. The race also provides full GPX files for all legs, ensuring that teams are well-prepared and equipped.
Entry is limited, prioritizing local clubs in the South Hams area. Each team registration costs £160, and recognition comes through a variety of awards including fastest female team, fastest male team, fastest mixed team, and closest estimated finish time to ensure every participant has an opportunity for glory.
Proceeds from this event will be directed towards two worthy local charities: the South West Coastal Path, dedicated to protecting and enhancing one of the world's greatest trail experiences; and Can-Active Programme, which aids individuals through cancer treatment by promoting movement, confidence rebuilding, and mental well-being support during a challenging period.
