The race offers three distance options: 25k, 50k, or a grueling 50-mile challenge. With only 100 runners allowed this year, the Southern Fried 50/50 fosters an intimate atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual support. Generous cutoff times ensure that all participants have ample time to complete their chosen distance: 10 hours for the 50k route and 14 hours for those tackling the full marathon. Aid stations along the way will provide Southern-style comfort food, including fried chicken, Georgia-grown watermelons, and sweet tea, ensuring runners are fueled throughout their journey. Parking and packet pickup are available at Midland Elementary School, just a short walk from the start line. Packet pickup begins early on race day at 6:00 a.m., with the official start time set for 7:00 a.m. sharp.
