Sportkansen is an innovative program designed to help children aged between 2 and 12 years old develop their motor skills through engaging activities. The initiative focuses on stimulating the twelve fundamental movement skills, including dribbling, gliding, lifting and carrying, climbing, rotating, striking, jumping and landing, kicking, pulling and pushing, catching and throwing, walking and running, and waving. Starting in 2026, Sportkansen will introduce a new dimension to its curriculum by incorporating "Multimove," which integrates physical activities with language and mathematics. This approach aims to enhance children's learning experiences while ensuring they have fun and develop their talents effectively. The program consists of ten weekly lessons scheduled on Wednesdays from September 23rd through December 9th, offering a comprehensive course in broad motor development. Each lesson is tailored to provide an enjoyable environment where young participants can explore various physical activities at their own pace. For the youngest members joining us at age two, parents or guardians are welcome to attend alongside them during the second session from 15:15 PM until 16:15 PM. This ensures that both children and adults have a shared experience of sports and play together in an enriching setting. Parents can choose between two time slots for their child's participation, with each slot accommodating up to thirty-six participants per class: - From 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM - From 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM Sportkansen is dedicated to providing a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where children can discover their interests in sports, refine existing skills, or simply enjoy the joy of movement. The program's goal is to foster an environment that promotes physical development alongside intellectual growth through interactive play sessions. This unique blend of motor skill training and educational integration makes Sportkansen not just another after-school activity but a holistic approach to early childhood education focused on nurturing young minds and bodies alike.
