Participants can choose from various distances ranging from 2k to 22k, with course durations of 60, 90, and 120 minutes available on the day of the event. The adventure is perfect for all ages and abilities, making it a great activity for friends and families alike.
Dress up in your most spooky Halloween attire if you wish; there will be spot prizes awarded to the best-dressed participants! Don't worry about leaving your regular running gear at home though—just come as you are. Dogs are welcome too but must remain on a lead throughout the event.
The evening promises an eerie atmosphere with plenty of haunted houses and spooky landmarks along the way, including Bramall Hall, known for its ghostly tales. The course is designed to take in some of the most impressively decorated Halloween homes in the area, offering participants numerous SpunchPoints to collect using their smartphones or smartwatches via the MapRun app.
Registration opens at 4:30 PM with start times ranging from then until 6:30 PM for both shorter and longer courses. Hi-vis clothing and a torch are essential as darkness falls early that evening, around 17:15. The event concludes in time to enjoy refreshments in the pub's indoor garden room where local Bramhall Runners will be on hand to welcome everyone.
The venue offers excellent food and drink options post-event, including cask and craft ales, making it easy for participants to socialize and unwind after their adventure. Parking is conveniently located nearby with free street parking available within walking distance of the pub. The event is also accessible by train from Bramhall station just 5 minutes away.
