Spunch! invites you to embark on an exhilarating adventure that combines the thrill of running or walking with the allure of a treasure hunt. This unique mini-adventure is designed for all ages and skill levels, making it perfect whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out. The event takes place in Telford's vibrant urban landscape, offering participants a mix of tarmac paths and off-road trails that will keep even locals discovering new routes.
Collaborating with the dedicated Telford Harriers team, Spunch! offers flexibility with course lengths ranging from 2 kilometers to an adventurous 22 kilometers. Participants can choose between three duration options: 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes, ensuring there’s a challenge for everyone.
The heart of the adventure lies in reaching as many checkpoints as possible within your chosen timeframe using satellite-punching technology via the MapRun app on smartphones, Garmin devices, or Apple Watches. With over 60 SpunchPoints scattered throughout the course, each checkpoint offers its own unique charm and excitement.
Whether you prefer to tackle this solo, with a partner, or in a group of friends and family, help is always available for newcomers to ensure everyone feels supported from start to finish. Even your furry companions are welcome as long as they remain on a lead and under control at all times.
On-site registration opens at 5:30pm, allowing you ample time to familiarize yourself with the course before starting between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. It's important for those planning to stay out past sunset to wear hi-vis clothing and carry a torch as darkness falls around 8:16pm.
All necessary amenities are conveniently located near or at the venue, including parking, registration desks, help stations, bag drops, toilets, start lines, finish areas, results announcements, and refreshments. The event is part of their summer series, promising an evening filled with fun and camaraderie.
