The loop route encompasses approximately 8 miles with roughly 1,000 feet of ascent and descent per lap. For those seeking more mileage, the full challenge involves completing four laps in one go, totaling around 32 miles with about 4,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. Alternatively, runners can opt for a single loop to enjoy a shorter but equally rewarding experience.
The Redding Spy Rock Loop is known for its varied terrain, featuring rocky outcrops, dense forest trails, and sweeping vistas that offer breathtaking views throughout the run.
