Hosted by @wanderlustrunning, this event has sold out for four consecutive years and is a beloved tradition among long-distance enthusiasts. The marathon course, certified by USATF and recognized as a Boston qualifier, promises both speed and scenic views. Participants will traverse through pecan orchards, enjoy stunning vistas of the Organ Mountains, and take in the natural beauty along the Rio Grande River. The half-marathon, also USATF-certified, offers an equally picturesque journey. For those seeking to test their endurance, a 4-person relay adds variety and teamwork to the event lineup. Every participant will receive an array of perks: - A fast and beautiful course - Exciting swag that you'll want to keep! - Custom finisher medals tailored to each event - Locally themed awards - Free professional photos from 2026 - Outstanding volunteer support throughout the day Chip timing is available for all races, ensuring accurate results. This year marks a new milestone with an extended generous finish time of eight hours! Age group awards will be presented on race day and can also be picked up later at Bluebird Running Company. The State 47 Las Cruces Marathon has been named to FindMyMarathon.com's Best Boston Marathon Qualifiers for 2025, making it a must-attend event. The marathon honors New Mexico’s admission as the 47th state on January 6, 1912, with special events like the 4.7K Jackrabbit celebration dash and Kids .47-mile mini celebration run. Packet pick-up will take place at Hotel Encanto De Las Cruces from noon to 6:30 PM on Friday, January 8th. Race day kicks off early for those in need of extra time with an "Early Bird" start wave beginning at 6:15 AM MST, followed by the official race starts. Awards will be available starting at 10:00 AM MST and can be claimed either on-site or within a week after the event.
