Stavanger Swimrun Stokkabouy 2026

Stokkabouy SwimRun is an exhilarating race that takes place around the picturesque Stokka Bay in Stavanger. This unique competition caters to both newcomers and seasoned athletes looking for challenging records to break.
In 2024 and 2025, competitors witnessed remarkable success with numerous new records set during this event. Participants can compete either as a duo or individually, experiencing the beauty of Stokka Bay from angles never seen before.
Originally known as "Stokkaboy" and "Stokkagirl," the race has been renamed to Stokkabouy, which better encapsulates its inclusive spirit while maintaining the essence of the original event. The course totals approximately 1300 meters in swimming distance and 8.5 kilometers in running.
The swim-run segments are meticulously designed for a balanced challenge:
- Swim: 200m
- Run: 1.6km
- Swim: 130m
- Run: 2.7km, including a finger rush through the Scout Camp area and 600 meters of trail running in the forest.
- A mix of fine gravel terrain for 400 meters.
- Another swim segment of 100m followed by 1.5km run on trails within Dyrsnes Forest.
- Swimmers then face a short stretch of water, 150 meters long.
- The final leg involves running 500 meters over light terrain including a small hill before the last sprint to the finish.
The day’s schedule includes convenient parking options or bus transport from Madla Amfi. Race participants must attend an obligatory safety briefing starting at 11:50 AM, followed by the race start at noon sharp. The event concludes with prize-giving ceremonies around 2 PM in Tufteparken.
