Step into Christmas

Step into Christmas, held on Southbourne's picturesque beachfront promenade just east of Bournemouth, offers runners an enchanting coastal experience. The flat and fast tarmac route features stunning sea views along its entire length, making it ideal for all levels of fitness.
Participants have the flexibility to choose their own distance from a 5K sprint up to ultra-marathon lengths, with each lap measuring precisely 5.3 kilometers or approximately 3.28 miles. The out-and-back course is meticulously measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers, ensuring accuracy for those aiming to complete marathons.
The event kicks off between 8am and 9:30am on a first-come-first-served basis, allowing runners to start whenever they're ready. All participants must finish their runs before 3pm (maximum race time of seven hours). Race numbers will be distributed at the registration point prior to starting.
Aid stations with refreshments are set up at both the beginning and end points of each lap, providing a variety of sweet and savory snacks for energy replenishment during your run. Additionally, there is an area designated for storing personal belongings throughout the event.
Public restrooms and showers are conveniently located along the promenade, ensuring runners have access to facilities as needed.
Detailed race day information will be sent via email prior to the event date. It's important to note that UK Athletics regulations apply age restrictions: participants under 20 years old cannot exceed a set distance limit for safety reasons.
