Stockhorn Half Marathon

Nestled in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, this mountain run is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain. The race begins in the picturesque village of Oberwil and quickly ascends to Vorderstockenalp, where runners are greeted with stunning views and an impressive elevation gain that sets a high bar early on.
The route winds through charming alpine villages such as Bunschen, Weissenburgbad, and Weissenburgberg before reaching Tanzboden. As the trail progresses towards Schopf, it becomes increasingly steep, leading to Oberstockenalp where runners are awarded for their perseverance with the mountain prize.
From here, participants face one of the most demanding climbs of the race as they push upwards toward the summit of Stockhorn. The final ascent culminates in a breathtaking panoramic view that rewards every step taken along this challenging course.
