Embark on an exhilarating trail adventure at the Stody Trail Run, set to take place on February 28, 2027. This unique race offers exclusive access to the serene and secluded Stody Estate, transforming your run into a memorable journey through picturesque woodlands and rolling fields. Choose from three challenging distances designed for all levels of runners: 4 kilometers for younger participants under 12 years old accompanied by an adult; 8 kilometers for those seeking a moderate challenge; and 12 kilometers for seasoned trail enthusiasts. Each route features scenic trails that wind through the estate's lush countryside, offering glimpses of nature at its best. Participants will be greeted with chip timing to ensure accurate results, eco-friendly medals to commemorate their achievement, and strategically placed water stations along each course. Post-race refreshments include bacon rolls, snacks, cakes, and hot drinks available in Hunworth Village Hall for all runners to enjoy. The event also offers free charity places for those willing to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 through Break, the chosen beneficiary that supports young people in care. Every step taken contributes towards building brighter futures for these individuals who rely on such support. Running clubs are invited to promote their group at the start/finish line with gazebos and flags. This is an opportunity not only to celebrate your team's achievements but also to raise awareness about Break’s important work. For those interested in purchasing a finisher's sports T-shirt, orders must be placed by February 12th for delivery on February 19th. Sizes available include S, M, L, and XL at £18 each. The race welcomes participants aged eight years and older, with specific route requirements based on age groups to ensure safety and appropriate challenge levels. Detailed results will be displayed in various categories, including male and female divisions for different age brackets, with medals awarded to top finishers across all races. Directions to Hunworth Village are straightforward; simply head towards the address NR24 2EQ near the Hunny Bell pub where ample car parking is available on an uneven farmland field. Spectators are welcome but should be aware that buggies and wheelchairs might face difficulties due to muddy conditions during wet weather.
