Strathaven Striders 'Run with the Wind' 10k

In 2026, Strathaven welcomes runners to the Run With The Wind 10K, an out-and-back course that winds through picturesque farming landscapes north of town. Since its inception in 2023, this race has become a beloved local event, offering participants a scenic and challenging route along quiet undulating roads.
Registration for the event will take place from 9:00 AM at Strathaven Bowling Club (ML10 6DP), where runners can also change clothes, use restrooms, and enjoy post-race refreshments. The race itself starts promptly at 10:00 AM near Kirkland Park School. Participants should note that car parking is available in public lots throughout Strathaven but not directly at the Bowling Club or adjacent Leisure Centre.
The event will be chip-timed for accurate results, which will be posted on the official website within 24 hours of completion. All finishers will receive a refreshment and a momento upon crossing the line; this year’s memento includes an exclusive T-shirt available in various sizes to commemorate your achievement. Make sure to indicate your size when you sign up.
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female runners overall, as well as first place winners for each age group category. The race is sanctioned under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics Licensed Event, ensuring fair competition and adherence to high standards of organization.
Entries must be submitted through Entry Central by the specified deadline; no on-site registrations will be accepted. In case of adverse weather conditions, runners should anticipate potential rescheduling with as much notice as possible provided by organizers.
