About the Event

Join us for the Stride for Sight 5K Run & Walk, an inspiring community event that aims to raise awareness and funds for vision care. Organized by the Lions Sight Research Foundation, Eagle Pass Border Lions Club, and the Eagle Pass Evening Lions Club in partnership with the City of Eagle Pass, this race takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 9:00 am.
The event will start and finish at Sports Complex located at 1325 Patsy Winn Blvd. in Eagle Pass, Texas. Participants can look forward to a scenic course that weaves through the city's vibrant streets and highlights key landmarks while promoting an inclusive atmosphere for all ages and abilities.
Stride for Sight is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of sight and a commitment to supporting those affected by vision impairment. All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Lions Sight Research Foundation, which works tirelessly to advance research in eye care and provide resources for individuals with visual impairments.
Registration fees are as follows:
- 5K Fun Run: $10 until October 22nd at midnight, $15 until October 23rd at midnight, and $20 on race day.
- Kids aged 6 to 13 years old can participate for just $5 with a paid adult registration. Children ages 0 to 5 are free when accompanied by an adult participant.
Come out and support this meaningful cause while enjoying the spirit of community in Eagle Pass. See you at Sports Complex on October 31st!
