The Stuart Good Egg Days - A Father's Day Race returns to Stuart, Iowa on June 20th. The event kicks off at 8:00 AM sharp at the heart of Stuart City Park on Division Street, where families gather and children play throughout the year. On race morning, runners will find a serene setting with clear blue skies and early-morning dew still clinging to the grass.
This is the fourth edition of this beloved event, which has grown significantly since its inception in 2023. With over 450 participants expected, it's more than just a run; it’s an opportunity for families to bond while raising funds for local scholarships and community programs that support youth development. The race supports a cause close to the hearts of many residents who see the positive impact firsthand.
The course is entirely within town, offering mostly flat terrain along Division Street and surrounding parks. Runners will enjoy the Hard and dry surface conditions typical in June at this latitude, though UV index levels are very high due to clear skies and minimal cloud cover. The temperature ranges from a comfortable 17.7°C to a slightly warmer 28.1°C, with an average of 22.9°C on race day. Humidity hovers around 67.6%, making it feel just right for early morning exercise.
The race offers both the 5K Road Race and Walk, which is perfect for all skill levels. Registration is $30 before June 14th, and increases to $35 after that date; however, late registrations may not guarantee T-shirt distribution.
