Summer Coast Road Race: A Scenic Journey Along the Shores
The Summer Coast Road 5km race, part of the prestigious Coast Road series for 2026, invites runners to experience the beauty and charm of coastal landscapes. Scheduled for Sunday, June 21st at 10:00 am, this event promises a memorable run along picturesque roads known for their stunning views.
Participants aged 13 years or older on race day are welcome to join in the fun without worrying about pre-ordering bib numbers; they will be available for collection upon arrival. The series includes other races throughout the year such as the Easter Coast 5 Mile, Spring 5k, Summer 5k, and Autumn 5k.
The route offers a mix of flat terrain with gentle undulations, providing runners an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty around them while testing their endurance over this short but challenging distance. Runners can preview both the 5km and 5 Mile routes online before race day to familiarize themselves with the course layout.
After crossing the finish line, participants are invited back to Rugby Club for a well-deserved drink. The club offers bar fare along with tea and coffee, allowing runners to relax and socialize while enjoying special discounts thanks to their bib numbers which grant £2 off at the bar on race day only.
