Join us on Tuesday, July 7th at Spokes BMX for the first race of MORC Presents: Summer Dirt Crit Series. This exciting MTB short track series promises to bring back the joy of racing like you're young again. Registration and check-in close by 3:00 pm on race day; no onsite registration is allowed, so make sure your details are sorted beforehand. Once checked in, pick up your race number plate for the duration of the series—replacements will cost $10 if needed. The event kicks off with a practice session from 5:00 to 5:45 pm followed by kids races at 6:00 pm. Races are set over three or five laps, depending on your category. Kids Boys and Girls (Ages 8 & Under) will complete three laps, while those aged 9-12 will tackle five laps. For older racers, the action heats up with Junior categories starting at 6:45 pm. These races are limited to a half-hour duration, making them perfect for seasoned athletes and beginners alike. The Beginner category also runs from 6:45 pm, followed by Junior races just after that. Elite and Sport categories will race later in the evening, starting their timed events at 7:30 pm. Awards ceremonies will follow each category's finish line to celebrate all participants' efforts. Throughout the series, points are awarded for top ten finishes, with first place earning 10 points and second place receiving nine, continuing down through tenth place. The overall podiums for first, second, and third places will be determined by accumulated points across all four races in this series. The grand finale—Race #4 Kuat Finale—will crown the champions. Sponsors including Oncology Hematology Associates (OHA), Kuat Racks, Ozark Greenways, Trail Spring, Two Rivers, Spokes BMX, and Sac River MTB Trails support this event, ensuring a fantastic experience for all participants. Helmets are mandatory during the race, and there's flexibility in start times and distances if weather or other conditions require adjustments.
