About the Event

Running enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Summer Extravaganza, an endurance sports festival held along the flat and speedy canal towpath in Kirkstall, Leeds. The course features various race distances designed for runners aiming to achieve personal bests or test their stamina on a smooth surface. Marshals line the route, offering support throughout, while water stations are strategically placed to keep competitors hydrated.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants receive an official medal and can enjoy post-race refreshments such as cake and BBQ rolls at designated areas where they can mingle with fellow runners. Registration takes place at a nearby conservation center, which also offers complimentary parking for convenience. The event adheres strictly to a cup-less policy and guidelines regarding headphone use to ensure the safety of all participants and environmental responsibility.
This race promises an engaging atmosphere with scenic surroundings that highlight Kirkstall's charming canal landscape.
Participants can look forward to a well-organized experience, complete with supportive staff and fellow runners celebrating their achievements together.
