About the Event

Experience the unofficial last day of summer with the Summer Shores Run on Labour Day, September 7, 2026. Participants can choose from three distances: 1KM, 5KM, or an extended run along the scenic Hamilton waterfront trail for a total distance of 8KM.
The race begins and concludes at Hutches on the Beach near Barrangas, offering runners stunning views of Lake Ontario as they traverse the picturesque shoreline path. This event is designed to celebrate the beauty of late summer with its vibrant atmosphere and breathtaking scenery.
Seniors and youth are encouraged to participate in this festive run or walk by taking advantage of discounted registration fees. Additionally, all participants have a chance to earn either Pink or Blue Summer Shores Medals as they cross the finish line.
Adding an extra bonus for runners is the availability of 300 Ticat coupons at a special discount rate, providing even more reasons to join this memorable event and enjoy the spirit of community on Labour Day.
