TATTON PARK WILD TRAIL RUNS 2027

On Saturday, 6th March 2027, the second annual Wild Deer Trail Runs will take place at Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire. This scenic event offers three distances: Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10km (6.2 miles), and a shorter but exhilarating 5km route.
Runners can expect to traverse through the heart of this historic estate’s expansive grounds, encountering diverse terrains that include trail paths, grasslands, woodlands, and sections of footpath. The Half Marathon is designed as a scenic multi-terrain journey, while the 10km loop showcases iconic parkland features along with wildlife-rich trails and open grassland.
For those looking for an introduction to trail running or a quick dash through picturesque scenery, the 5km route offers a shorter but equally engaging experience. Each distance provides opportunities to encounter free-roaming deer herds across Tatton Park’s 1,000 acres of parkland, which is renowned for its stunning lakes, woodlands, and heritage landscapes.
Event participants will enjoy live chip timing with instant race results, ensuring accurate times from start to finish. Upon crossing the line, all runners receive an event medal, exclusive merchandise, as well as refreshments such as drinks and snacks.
Parking on-site at Tatton Park is available for a fee of £6 per vehicle. Canicross enthusiasts are also welcome; each runner may bring one well-controlled dog that must remain leashed throughout the run.
