Templeton Trail Race

On Sunday, August 2nd at 11am, runners of all ages and abilities are invited to experience Templeton Woods through an engaging trail run. The race begins near the Clatto Centre, located by Clatto Reservoir, with ample signage guiding participants throughout the event.
Registration opens at 9:30 am on site for those who have pre-registered or a limited number of day-of entries until 10:15 am if there are fewer than 200 pre-registrations. Participants should arrive prepared to run as changing facilities are minimal and showers will not be available.
The route, approximately 5.5 miles in length, winds through Templeton Woods with well-defined paths alongside some challenging trails and short hills. The course is marked clearly with flags and marshals at key junctions for easy navigation. Runners can park near the Clatto Centre or use alternative locations such as the Templeton Woods Nature Hut off Templeton Road or Camperdown Park, from which they can jog to the start.
First aid services will be on hand throughout the event to ensure everyone's safety and well-being. The finish line is conveniently situated close to the starting point for a smooth transition back into post-race activities.
Post-event refreshments include cold drinks as well as a spread of snacks provided in a picnic area, allowing runners to refuel after their efforts. Preliminary results will be available on Webscorer shortly following the race, with final standings posted online at www.dundeeroadrunners.co.uk/results and the Scottish Athletics website within one week.
Awards for both male and female participants are set to begin around midday in front of the Clatto Centre. Categories include overall first, second, and third places as well as age group winners from 40-79 years old. Team awards will also be presented based on cumulative times across three runners per team.
To accommodate last-minute changes or deferrals, entries can be transferred up to July 26th through EntryCentral or by contacting the organizers directly. Refunds are only available if the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances; otherwise, no refunds will be issued.
Photographers at the scene may capture memorable moments from the day and share them on social media or in promotional materials for future events. If you prefer not to have your image used publicly, please inform the organizers beforehand.
