Tetsworth 10K Race – September 20th, 2026
The Tetsworth Social Club is set to host the eagerly anticipated return of the Tetsworth 10k race on Sunday, September 20th, 2026. This scenic event offers runners a challenging yet rewarding course that winds through picturesque country roads and concludes at the heart of the village green.
The registration fee for adults varies based on affiliation status: £18 for affiliated athletes and £20 for unattached participants. Juniors under the age of 18 are welcome to join in for just £6. The race is limited to a total of 200 runners, with a minimum age requirement of 15 years old.
Race day starts at Tetsworth Sports and Social Club located at Marsh End, OX9 7AU where participants can collect their bibs between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The race itself kicks off promptly at 10:30 AM with chip timing to ensure accurate results for all competitors.
The course covers a distance of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) through undulating rural terrain, offering runners the chance to enjoy stunning views while pushing their physical limits. Water stations will be strategically placed along the route and refreshments can be purchased from the social club upon completion or at any time throughout the day.
Participants are encouraged to leave vehicles in off-street parking near the Social Club for easy access on race morning. On-site facilities include toilets and changing areas, ensuring a comfortable experience before and after the event.
First aid is provided by fully trained medical professionals who will be present throughout the course should runners require assistance during or after the run. In case of unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, organizers reserve the right to alter the race format for safety reasons but every effort will be made to inform participants well in advance if any changes are necessary.
All finishers receive a commemorative memento, and additional prizes are awarded based on gender categories (1st through 3rd place male and female) as well as age-specific awards. Special recognition goes out to the first-place senior women over 35 years old and men over 40, along with local residents identified by specific postcodes.
