About the Event

The 7th annual Lumber-JACKED 5K & Fun Run will kick off the festivities bright and early at 8 a.m. on Sept. 19th. Runners will travel around the scenic Ellen Trout Memorial Lake. The early registration fee is $20 for ages 13 and up, and $15 for children 12 and under. Late registration will be $25 for ages 13 and up, and $20 for children 12 and under. This is a non-timed race and non-refundable.

Register by Sunday, August 30th to guarantee a t-shirt. All registrants after August 30th are not guaranteed to receive a shirt.

Packet pick-up will be available:
* Friday, September 18th from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1615 S. Chestnut in Lufkin
* Saturday, September 19th beginning at 7:30 AM at the race location, Ellen Trout Zoo, 402 Zoo Circle in Lufkin

The packet will include a race t-shirt and a festival ticket.

About Lufkin

Learn more about the host city, Lufkin.

Lufkin is a city in Angelina County, in the Piney Woods region of north-east Texas. It has its origins in railroad lines, as it became a stop along the Houston, East and West Texas Railway in 1882 and a depot where cotton could be stored. Not long after, commerce gave way to the timber industry with several sawmills and the Angelina County Lumber Company operating, which in turn saw the addition of foundries and paper mills.
