The 10 X Challenge

Embark on an unparalleled endurance challenge at the Cold Water Skin Race. This unique event is designed exclusively for those who are ready to push their limits, combining intense cold water immersion with steaming heat in a rigorous 10-minute cycle repeated ten times over.
Participants will face a grueling test by spending 10 minutes each in icy waters ranging from 10 to 10.9°C before transitioning into the steam room for an equally demanding 10-minute session. This process is strictly timed and must be completed without assistance, ensuring that only the most committed athletes can participate.
The event requires a specific attire: a prescribed bathing suit with no buoyancy or thermal lining, along with a single silicone cap and goggles (no masks, snorkels, fins, booties, gloves, or thermal hoods). This ensures safety while maintaining the challenge's integrity.
Scheduled to take 3.5 hours from start to finish, this event is carefully managed with only 20 participants per session in its inaugural year of 40 total competitors. Full support will be provided by dedicated coaches and first aid professionals throughout the course.
The race begins at the BRYC ramp, offering exclusive access to change rooms and a steam room for participant use only, ensuring both comfort before and after the intense sessions.
