The 2026 Great Gobble 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk invites runners and walkers alike to gather at Autumn Ridge Church in Rochester on November 26, 2026. This untimed fun run/walk offers a warm indoor facility provided by the church, ensuring comfort for all participants regardless of Thanksgiving Day weather conditions. Minnesota Treads staff will oversee the event, aiming not only to support Autumn Ridge Church's Big Box initiative but also to donate proceeds to various charities in Southeastern Minnesota. Each registrant can purchase a festive and fun The Great Gobble T-shirt, available this year in kids sizes as well. Complimentary treats include Nothing Bundt Cake bundtinis, hot chocolate, coffee, and delicious donuts. The event's price has been reduced for those who prefer not to add another shirt or Turkey Gloves to their collection. Autumn Ridge Church’s Big Box program aims to provide healthy non-perishable food items to children and families in need; participants are encouraged to bring additional food or monetary donations if possible. Packet pickup will be available on Wednesday, November 25th from 2-6pm at Minnesota Treads, as well as on Thanksgiving morning (November 26th) from 6:30-7:30am at Autumn Ridge Church. Runners and walkers are welcome to register in person at Minnesota Treads with cash or check made payable to State of Run. Join the community spirit this Thanksgiving by participating in an event that supports those less fortunate while enjoying a morning filled with fun, food, and festive cheer.
